Meetings

This page will contain the minutes of the BIA's executive comittee meetings, along with the agenda of upcoming meetings. Meetings are held every first Thursday of the month, at 7:30 AM.

Subjects discussed:
 
1   Meeting opening :

- Agenda. As there is no quorum, members present decide to informally discuss the subjects at hand.


2   Pecuniary interests :

- None.


3   Report on December 7th, 200 meeting :

- Report presented to members.


4   Web site update :

- The site should be completed ere the end of the month. Mr. Boucher has been photographing all of the businesses and buildings within the BIA's area.


5   Activities and Christmas Season sales :

- Sales seem to have been quite good. 


6   12 bulletins, Countdown To Christmas :

- Evaluation. Some merchants have called to obtain copies they had lost. All in all, the series seems to have been appreciated.


7   Financial statement, Expenses/Revenues 2000:

- The secretary hands out the report, saying the BIA should close the 2000 year with a light surplus.


8   Major projects and capital expenses (brainstorm) :

- The secretary presents a list of activities that were held in the past years. Members review, ask to have Christmas Decorations purchase added, and exterior sound system removed. (See updated Work In Progress page.)


9   Eye-On Kiosk presence :

- Members agree to invest in a presence on the kiosk, in partnership witih the Hearst Chamber of Commerce.


10   Provincial and national BIA conference in Toronto, March 25th-27th:

- Members believe it would be beneficial for the Hearst BIA to send two members to participate in this conference. Reservations for two shall be made, in order to take advantage of early-bird savings. To be further discussed in next meeting. 


11   Economic partnership committee :

- NordAski, Hearst Downtown, Chamber Of Commerce, Town of Hearst and others. Committee will meet on January 16th.


12   New members and election of a new vice-president :

- Two names will be submitted to the Town of Hearst.
