This page will contain the minutes of the BIA's last executive comittee meeting, along with the agenda of the upcoming meeting a few days prior to said meeting. Meetings are held every first Thursday of the month.

1   Meeting opening :

- Agenda. Proposed by F. Benoit, supported by F. Lecours. ADOPTED. 


2   Pecuniary interests :

- None.


3   Report on January 11th, 2001 meeting :

- Report presented to members. Proposed by F. Benoit, supported by F. Lecours, that minutes of the December 7th, 2000 and January 11th, 2001 meetings be adopted.


4   Web site update :

- The logo is almost completed. The site will officially be launched on Feb. 22nd. Business owners, building owners, and M. Racine from FedNor, among others, will attend the ceremony. A sub-committee is formed to order the common shipping bag. Fanny Benoit, Lorraine Charlebois and Estelle Mignault will spearhead the sub-committee. After consideration, the orange-hued logo is chosen. 


5   Presence on Eye On kiosk :

- The BIA will be on the Eye On kiosk in collaboration with the Hearst Chamber of Commerce on a cost-sharing basis. 


6   National BIA Conference, Toronto, March 25th-27th :

- Prop. by L. Charlebois, supp. by E. Mignault that 2 members of the Hearst BIA attend said conference, at an estimated cost of 1500$. 


7   Economic partnerships committee meeting :

- President gives a verbal summary of the meeting.


8   Presentation on polar products by ModElles enterprises :

- Mr. André Rhéaume shall attend the next BIA meeting in March to represent ModElles. 


9   Disabled persons parking in the Downtown :

- The executive agrees with the Town's memo. However, it proposes to add a Disabled persons parking in the municipal parking, near the entrance of Mrs. Payeur's backyard. This will allow disabled people whose vehicule requires lots of room, to park without slowing circulation at the parking's main entrance.


10   Hearst Chamber Of Commerce Membership :

- The executive approves the BIA being a member of the Hearst CoC for the 2001 year, at a fee of 110$. 


11   Capital Projects 2001 :

- Members revise capital projects list. It has also been suggested to paint electric boxes.


12   Usage of Mac computer after end of intern contract :

- To be discussed at next meeting.
