Meetings

This page will contain the minutes of the BIA's last executive committee meeting, along with the agenda of the upcoming meeting a few days prior to said meeting. Meetings are held every first Thursday of the month.

The last BIA executive's monthly meeting was held on Thursday February 3rd, 2005. Here were the subjects discussed:

1		Opening - Agenda. - Carried.
2		Reports of the meeting held on January 6th. - Prop. by: G. Gaudreau, Supp. by: S. Otis; Carried.
3		Correspondence. - Downtown Owensound, James Gilmore, speaker, May 5th 2005; Info; Will be discussed at the next meeting. - Crocker: Request for booking; Info.
4		Options for the future of the BIA. - Louis Corbeil explains options for the future of the BIA.  It is suggested to ask other BIA Associations in Ontario how they are functioning.  A meeting with the Municipality will also be organized to discuss some important issues.
5		BIA Administration. - Following the resignation of Louis Corbeil as Secretary of the BIA, it is proposed by: E. Mignault and Supported by: G. Gaudreau and S. Otis to hire Thérèse Lachance of CommunicAction to take his place.  CARRIED.
6		Ice Sculpture Committee. - Because of the low participation to the ice sculpture contest at the Scouts Local, Louis Corbeil suggests to cancel this contest and use the contest money to help pay for expenses related to the ice castle, i.e. lights, roof, Public Works employee, etc. instead  Members all agree.
7		New members. - Mrs. Sylvie Leroux is interested to join the BIA Executive and Gérald Gaudreau says that Mrs. Nicole Lecours has also demonstrated interest in joining the Board.
8		Other subjects. - Next meeting:  Thursday, March 3rd, at 7:30 a.m. - Web Site:  Thérèse asks members to visit the BIA web site and tell her of any modifications to be made.
