Zoning
legislation modification : Apartments downtown.
- Members
of the executive committee are presented with a memo from Janice Newsome,
Director of Planning at the Town of Heast, concerning three modifications
to the zoning set of rules, which would affect parking in the downtown.
The members of the committee are also informed of a letter from a BIA member
opposing said legislation, pointing out that parking space could severely
be compromised, and so would the commercial character of the Downtown area.
After intensive discussions, it is decided that the BIA will send a letter
to the Town stating the BIA's official position - protecting the parking
space (already in short supply) and the commercial character of the area
is paramount. |
