Meetings

This page will contain the minutes of the BIA's last executive committee meeting, along with the agenda of the upcoming meeting a few days prior to said meeting. Meetings are held every first Thursday of the month.

1		Opening. - Prop. by: G. Gaudreau, Supp. by: E. Mignault; THAT the agenda be adopted as modified, by adding the following subject: Flower Festival (June 12). CARRIED.
2		Minutes of meeting held on April 3rd, 2003. - Prop. by: G. Gaudreau, Supp. by: E. Mignault.  CARRIED.
3		Correspondence. - Letter to Hearst Mayor; welcome site north of Hwy 11, corner of 9th; Info.
4		Pecuniary interest. - None.
5		Budget 2003. - The secretary presented the proposed BIA Budget for 2003.  This budget has been done as per discussions of April 29 between Council members. - Prop. by: G. Gaudreau, Supp. by: E. Mignault: THAT the operating budget as well as the capital budget for the year 2003 be approved as presented and THAT this budget be presented to Municipal Council for approval.  CARRIED.
6		Auditor's Report and Resolution Reserve. - The secretary presented the Auditor's Report as of December 31st, 2002. - Prop. by: G. Gaudreau, Supp. by: E. Mignault: THAT the Auditor's Report, dated December 31st, 2002, be approved and submitted to the Annual Meeting that will be held on May 8th, 2003.  CARRIED.
7		Annual Meeting 2003. - Preparations for the Annual Meeting are all done.  Guest Speakers will be Mrs. Nicole Guertin of Destination Nord and Mr. Mario Barette, new president of the Municipal Economic Development Corporation.  20 to 30 people should be attending the Annual Meeting that will be held on May 8th, 2003.
8		Storage of Christmas decorations. - Info.
9		Festival de l'orignal souvenir sale. - Estelle Mignault reported on latest developments. A list of souvenirs and their prices has been done and souvenirs will be ordered shortly.
10		Flower Festival. - Estelle Mignault suggested that a Flower Festival be held on the day flowers will be hung on street lamps.  The secretary will find out from Mrs. Vermette, when she plans to hang them (Friday June 12).  An add will be placed in local newspapers and a letter sent to all BIA merchants.
