This page will contain the minutes of the BIA's last executive committee meeting, along with the agenda of the upcoming meeting a few days prior to said meeting. Meetings are held every first Thursday of the month.

1   Opening - Agenda.

2   Reports of the meeting held on April 1st, 2004.

3   Correspondence.

- Town of Hearst:  Subject: Parking downtown; The President will speak with the person who made the request to the Municipality for 'mobile parking fees', in order to better understand the proposition.


4   Summer Festival 2004.

- Émilie Brunelle, student and coordinator of the Festival, presented a list of proposed activities.  The following changes and additions were approved: That there be three inflatables, one of which the mini-golf, at the cost of $300 to $400 each.  That the Show and Shine be held on Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  That the restaurant La Bonne Bouffe be asked to organize a community breakfast and a Beer Garden.


5   Sculptures' Contest.

- Report of the Debriefing Meeting (verbal); Members of the sculptures contest's committee decided that another contest will be held next year.  The first meeting for this contest will be held in December 2004.


6   Mobile Parking Downtown.

- Before deciding anything about this, the President will meet the owners of the restaurant who initiated this request.


7   Purchase of Ashtrays.

- The welding class at Collège Boréal will present a sketch of an ashtray they are proposing to build, and which will be sold at $100 each.

Rental of Casino money.

- This money is rented to 'stag' organizers at $20 a night.

Report on web site access.

- Members took note of this report.

Repairs to Christmas Decorations.

- Gérald proposes a Bis for this work.  He will contact other members once the date is set.

Other Members.

- Marc Dufresne asked members opinion on a suggestion that Municipal Council has received, that all terrain vehicles be authorized to circulate in town.  Prop. by: Lorraine Charlebois, Supp. by: Colette Fortin; That the Board recommends that the circulation of all terrain vehicle be authorized in town, except on George Street between 8th and 9th.  CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
