This page will contain the minutes of the BIA's last executive committee meeting, along with the agenda of the upcoming meeting a few days prior to said meeting. Meetings are held every first Thursday of the month.

1   Opening.

- Opening at 7:35 am.


2   Minutes of meeting held on May 6th, 2003.

- Prop. by: E. Mignault, Supp. by: G. Gaudreau.  CARRIED.


3   Correspondence.

- Flyer from Timmins BIA; Regional meeting of all BIAs on Sept. 21st and 22nd. 2003.


4   Pecuniary interest.

- None.


5   Budget 2003.

- The secretary presented a modified 2003 Budget, that includes changes imposed by Municipality.


6   Summer Festival 2003.

- Contract for organizing the 2003 Summer Festival; Prop. by: L. Charlebois, Supp. by: G. Gaudreau; to hire Lynn Ayotte on a contractual basis for organizing the Downtown 2003 Summer Festival for the amount of $1,000.  CARRIED.


7   Parking: East of 9th between Front and George.

- Board members asked that the secretary writes a letter to the Municipality proposing that a "Loading Zone" be designated for this area.


8   Offer for tree maintenance.

- Prop. by: E. Mignault, Supp. by: C. Fortin: To accept the offer from Arbotech for the maintenance of trees and shrubs in the downtown area and in the parking.  CARRIED. 


9   Festival de l'orignal souvenir sale.

- Souvenirs have been ordered and should be in shortly.  Estelle will visit each downtown merchant to encourage them to decorate their store on the "Flower Festival Day" which will be celebrated on June 13th, 2003 while Mrs. Vandette will install flowers on street lamps downtown.
