meeting. Meetings are held every first Thursday of the month.

Activités
Festival d'Été 12-13-14 juillet 2001.
- Le
secretary presents a summary of the revised budget. An 1800$ deficit is
expected. The summer intern also presents a revised list of activities
for the Festival. |

Banners
with New Logo.
- The
banners are expected by July 10th. Classic Displays has agreed to redo
the banners at 55% of the initial cost, being 58,25$ the banner. |

Outdoor
Ashtrays in Downtown (George Street).
- The
Collège Boréal could manufacture these outdoor ashtrays through
their welding course, at a cost of 10$/hour. The secretary will check with
the High School as well as private companies. |

Insurance
for Inflatables.
- The
secretary has communicated with the Municipality and with the Ontario BIA
Association for coverage. |

Municipality
Response : Questions raised on May 17th, 2001 Meeting.
- The
Council Rep presents reports detailing the Town's response. The Municipality
is not in favour of completely eleminating parking meters. However, Mrs.
Lamontagne has kindly suggested that the Municipality waive parking fees
on Friday nights and Saturdays, on a tryout basis. The members of the board
approve of this initiative.
Claude
Brochu adds that four new signs will be posted on Front street indicating
where to turn to get to major points of interest in town (Arena, KC Hall,
Town Hall, etc.).
The
Town showed a lukewarm reception to the idea of making George street a
one-way street. |

Sale : August or September 2001.
- Discussions
to be held on next meeting.

Fliers
for Festival : Despite problems with delivery and printing, the fliers
will be distributed in the Weekender for people residing outside of Hearst.
It will also be distributed in Le Nord for the people of Hearst. There
could be additional fees for this delivery. |
