Meetings

This page will contain the minutes of the BIA's last executive committee meeting, along with the agenda of the upcoming meeting a few days prior to said meeting. Meetings are held every first Thursday of the month.

The last BIA executive's monthly meeting was held on Friday July 11, 2008. Here were the subjects discussed:

2		Report of the meeting held on June 13, 2008. - Minutes of the meeting held on June 13, 2008.  Prop.  By: Gérald G., Supp. By: Isabelle B.  CARRIED.
3		List of cheques and current financial statements. - The list of cheques issued between June 1st and June 30th, 2008 for a total amount of $5,798.30 as well as financial statements as of June 30th were presented for approval.  Prop. By: Gérald G., Supp. By: Isabelle B.  CARRIED
4		Summer Festival . - Stéphanie Q. presented her final report on the Summer Festival. In general, the Festival was a success and everything went fairly well. She also had some recommendations for future festivals. Mike mentioned also that we should print a flyer for future festivals that we could insert in local newspapers. Some members suggested the following dates for the next Summer Festival: July 2-3-4 or July 9-10-11, 2009.
5		Street Lamps. - Mr. Serge Laflamme, inspector for Electrical Safety Authority, noted, during his inspection of the Summer Festival installations, that some street lamps needed to be replaced soon as they were considered dangerous. He will also send a letter to the Municipality on this. Mike requested that the BIA also send a letter to the Municipality requesting that these street lamps be replaced as soon as possible.
6		Fall banners. - Gérald G. will check the fall banners to see if we need to replace them this year.
7		Christmas Decorations. - Gérald G. requested that we check the price of LED bulbs for our Christmas decorations.
8		Atelier des Pionniers et Pionnières. - Diane mentioned that it might be a good idea to make a donation to the Atelier Des Pionniers et Pionnières group to thank them for their participation during the Summer Festival. All members are in favor, but would like to know if money is available in the BIA budget before doing so.
