Summer
Festival Report.
-
The Summer Festival generated a profit
of $1,737,59 this year. There were less expenses for employees
due to the bad temperature. Next year, members would like
to introduce a new format for the festival. There will be
no three days festival but instead activities will be held
on Saturday only and the street will be closed only on that
day. We will try to meet with Agriva Market to inquire about

the Improvement Plan Committee is now looking for quotes
for new street lights.
-
Loitering - Patricia M-C. informed members that the
Pharmacy has received many complaints from customers saying
that they felt intimidated by people hanging around all
day downtown and asked if something could be done to prevent
this. Members agreed that sometimes people hanging around
were causing problems for customers and asked Marc to inquire
about the possibility of moving the public phone elsewhere
and also to inquire about the camera system that was supposed
to be installed downtown. Mike will also contact the OPP
