4   Summer Festival.

- Diane explained the survey that was done concerning the Summer Festival.  As per the survey, merchants would like the Festival to be held in July next year, but with improvements and more activities.  It was suggested to rent a large tent that could be used if it rains.  Marc said that the Municipality is presently looking to buy such a tent.  It was also suggested to approach Nord-Aski, the Economic Development Corporation, Heritage Canada and Trillium Foundation for donations.  We will try to encourage other institutions (apart from retail businesses) to participate and organize an activity like the CIBC this year with the face painting.

5   CCEJ Calendar.

- Diane reported that it would be preferable to chose dates today for the next Midnight Magic and Summer Festival if we wish to place an ad in the CCEJ calendar.  After discussion, it was decided that Midnight Magic would be held on December 5, 2008 and that the Summer Festival would be held in July.

6
CINN Radio.

-  A request for donation in the amount of $500 towards the Lotto-épicerie was received from CINN Radio.  Request was accepted unanimously.  For the Bingo ball, since Mike was not available, Diane and Thérèse decided to accept again this year for the amount of $60.  Members would like that the ball be announced as a donation from Centre-Ville Hearst Downtown instead of Hearst BIA.  Concerning the Radiothon, members think that it is the responsibility of each merchant to give a donation and not the BIA.  On the same occasion, Sylvie Gauthier of CINN-FM sent us a note to be sent to all merchants inviting them to decorate their store for the carnival that will be held from February 8th to 17th, 2008.

7
Fall Banners.

- Gérald G.  suggested to buy new fall banners, but before we order he will inspect the existing banners and decide if we need new ones.  After revision, Gérald confirmed that existing fall banners were still acceptable for this year, but that we should order new winter banners instead.

8
Benches.

- Since there were unforeseen expenses for the Summer Festival (electric boxes), it was decided to cancel the order for new benches and re-submit the order next year.

9

- Letter from the Municipality:  Naming Sylvie Mousseau as executive member on the BIA.
- Notre-Dame Hospital: Invitation to participate in the recruiting campaign for new health professionals: Members declined.
