This page will contain the minutes of the BIA's last executive committee meeting, along with the agenda of the upcoming meeting a few days prior to said meeting. Meetings are held every first Thursday of the month.

The last BIA executive's monthly meeting was held on Thursday October 4th, 2007. Here were the subjects discussed:

1		Opening - Agenda. - The meeting was declared open at 7:45 a.m.  Agenda: - Prop. by: Gérald G., Supp. by: Isabelle B.;  CARRIED.
2		Report of the meeting held on September 13th, 2007. - Minutes of the meeting held on September 13th, 2007.  Prop.  by: Gérald G., Supp. by: Patricia M.C.  CARRIED.
3		List of cheques issued between September 1st and September 30th, 2007 and current financial statements. - The list of cheques issued between September 1st and September 30th, 2007 in the amount of $3,107.98 as well as financial statements as of September 30th, 2007 were presented for approval.  Prop. by: Isabelle B., Supp. by: Patricia M.C. CARRIED.
4		CCEJ Calendar. - Mike asked Diane to confirm with CCEJ that the next Summer Festival will be held on July 3-4-5 2008.
5		Banners. - Diane informed members that the new winter banners were in.  Gérald showed them one.  Members think that they are beautiful and said that we made the right choice.  The invoice amounts to $958.40
6		Christmas Decorations. -  Gérald asked for the help of other members to check and repair Christmas decorations.  This will be done on Sunday October 28th at the airport hangar.
7		Opening Hours during the Holidays. - After discussion, members decided to hold a general meeting and invite all members of the BIA in order for them to voice their opinion on opening hours during the Holidays.  this general meeting will be held on Tuesday October 23rd, at 7:30 a.m. at the Companion.  Isabelle B. volunteered to distribute an invitation newsletter to all members.  The Journal Le Nord and Radio CINN will also be invited.
8		Front Street Improvement Project. - Mike summarized the last meeting he attended and reiterated that downtown street lights were still the priority.

10		Other subjects. - Halloween candies will be distributed to children downtown on Wednesday October 31st.   -  Mike reported that the BIA has received an invitation from Mrs. Sophie Laflamme, from the "Central Project" to attend a meeting that will be held on Thursday October 4th from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. or from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tourist Center.  "The Central" is an organization for the whole community.  They offer help in the organization and planning of events and also help in promoting volunteer work in the community.  Mike and Gérald will attend the meeting. -  Mike mentioned that it was now time to call the Hearst Power Distribution Company in order to have Christmas decorations installed early November. - Mike asked Diane to check if Santa Claus Express will be held again this year.
11		Adjournment and next meeting. - The date for the next meeting will be determined later on.  The meeting was adjourned at 9:05 a.m.
