November 1st , 2001 - The BIA executive's monthly meeting took place on November 1st, 2001. Here are the minutes from said meeting.

2   Pecuniary Interest .

3   Report on September 20th, 2001 meeting.

4   Correspondance.

- Request to participate to the Foyer des Pionniers activities: Filed.


5   Santa Claus Express on December 2nd, 2001.

- R. Gratton will represent the BIA on the train committee along with members of the Hearst Chamber of Commerce.


6   Calendar of activities for the 2001 Holiday Season.

- Members present revised the calendar draft and suggested some corrections. Prop. M. Wilson, Supp. R. Gratton. That two draws of $500, in purchase coupons, be held, one on Saturday December 1st and the other on Saturday December 15th, 2001. All BIA members can participate in these draws. ADOPTED.


7   Report on the Nord-Aski Conference on Economic Development - October 19-21, 2001.

- Mike Wilson reports that the conference was interesting. Mr. Dotorie's remarks, President and CEO of Tembec, captured everybody's attention. As far as small businesses and stores, it was outlined during this conference, that more cooperation was needed between governments, communities and enterprises.


8   Other Subjects.

- Billboards outside each side of Town have fallen down. They will have to be changed next year and reflect our new logo.
